August 25, 2024 National Whiskey Sour Day
A true connoisseur knows that a whiskey sour offers a rich blend of flavors. This is the perfect day for you to enjoy this delicious drink, and your chance to try it if you haven’t before.
TRY THIS RECIPE!
2 oz of your favorite whiskey
1 oz lemon juice 
1 1/2 tsp maple syrup or 1/2 oz simple syrup
Orange wedge and maraschino cocktail cherry, for garnish

Add ice to a cocktail shaker. Then add the bourbon, lime juice, lemon juice and sugar. Put on the lid and shake until chilled, well-mixed and sugar has dissolved.

Today is the day you pop that bottle of rum open from the 16th! National Mai Tai Day is celebrated each year on August 30, as drink fans and tiki devotees pay homage to America’s most iconic tropical cocktail: the Mai Tai.
TRY THIS RECIPE!
1 oz light rum1 oz dark Jamaican rum
1 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz orgeat syrup
1/2 oz of Cointreaugar­nish with mint (a lime if you like)
Add all ingre­di­ents to a cock­tail shaker, except the gar­nish. Shake and strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice. Gar­nish with fresh mint and a lime if you fancy that. You can also float some dark rum on top of the cocktail.
